Windshied measurement please
Hi,
could someone measure the base of windshield for outside width of the chrome posts that attach to the cowl hoop. I don't think my slots are correct? Thanks |
@HighPlainsDrifter, If you can give me a day or two. I will head down to the shop, and measure mine. Mine was brought in 1992, also a friend nearby, brought his in 1999, so I'll check his too, to see if they are the same width. I know his was missing the windshield, I don't know where he got his, but will ask. I know mine came from the CR factory, it was still in the org. box, when I had it painted late last year. Ok Perry, just got back from the shop, and stopping at my buddies garage. Both of our windshield's are org. Classic Roadster's. Measured from the same spot on both of the cowl's , both pair of holes cut in the same spot. From the bottom outside edge, to bottom outside edge, is 52 7/8" with the radius of the cowl. Top of windshield is 48". I have pictures if needed. Hope this help's, Cheers Tom.

Anytime Perry, mine is sooooo close to being done, just the dash, gauges (wiring done) , carpets, and seats. It's at a good friends shop, so it gets put on the back burner sometimes. As my NW friends say, when done it will be perfect, so we wait. anything else you need Perry, just ask buddy, If you PM me, I'll give my phone#, Cheers Tom.
