Side mount mirror screw
I have ray dot mirrors mounted to the side of the windshield with the Finishline side mount brackets. After 11 years one of the screws is stripping and will not stay put. What should I do? I’ve considered trying a slightly larger screw but I don’t want to mess things up worse. Also considered just putting it in with some Loctite. What do you guys think?

Do not oversize .... go with loctite or little clear nail polish ( or what ever you like color-wise) :JEKYLHYDE
if you oversize by forcing a larger screw in there you’ll have issues. Unless you tap/thread it to the size your going to.

You could try some blue loctite. I would not use red. There is an orange loctite that has most of the properties of red but does not require high heat for removal.

Side mirror bolts
Anyone know the best way to remove the bolts? My mirror was broken so I ordered a replacement from Finishline. Not quite the same though. I can get at one of the bolts, but the other one looks to be a challenge. I put it on the back burner as I rebuilt the engine. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!!

With these fiberglass bodies, I wonder if some mixed resin, carefully dripped into the hole with a toothpick, would allow the screw (Assuming self-tapping) to cut new threadsand work like new?
I've never tried it yet, but the idea is sound :D
