EFI Intake Manifolds

I converted my Classic Roadster Cobra from Carb to EFI a few years ago. Intake is a stock 94-95 Mustang Intake. The 89-93 version would not fit under the hood. I would like to change to either the Trick Flow or some other intake manifold.

My problem is I am concerned with hood clearence. Does anyone know which manifold will fit without having to cut or change the hood? I do not want to purchase a manifold and find out my hood will not close.

I've never tried the combo you are thinking about. I would measure the clearance you have now and find out what the difference is with the new intake (if any). The spec sheet on the product should give you dimensions, or give the MFG a call. DV may also have tried an aftermarket manifold, I'm sure he'll speak up if he did.

DV is building my EFI car and between using the new motor mounts, and a COMP box he made the unit look great, and it fits. Call Ed, I'm sure he can help.

I visited the CR factory once. They were making a special hood for EFI cars to allow clearance for the taller intake. Did not look like a Cobra hood. Simpler solution is use the 351W motor/frame mounts which lowers the motor about an inch.
