Classic Roadsters Moulds in Oregon???
There is a new RipOff Report #1506132 ( Ripoff has bad rep too I’m not co-signing what they say) states a man is trying to get boxes of parts after picking up a set of moulds from Ryan. It’s dated March 17 2021. Maybe they are in Oregon? Looks like he is trying to just get the boxes and has the moulds but not sure. Anybody have info?

This is the earlier report - I see it was updated in 2020.

Nothing good will come of any contact with him. Bring cash, leave with product made to your satisfaction or take the cash away.

Does anybody know this guy? 74proii PM sent
|
Still not surprised. So did he actually get the molds? Funny how there are only "20 small boxes" of parts. Where is the copied frame that was updated and geared up for a Coyote? I never heard of that frame actually being delivered. I forget who exactly was involved with that, was it you Twobjshelbys? Couldn't find any online photos anymore, weird. Ryan the rip artist tag here was: gn_n_60_shelby

Who is this guy? He states he is going to “Produce and sell parts to the kit car Industry”.

@sunman, I know of a guy in Oregon, that has sold a couple CR's on BaT recently plus a
couple FFR's, and a ShellValley. I pray this dude didn't get them, as he's not much better than ryan. He's nothing more then a "Flipper" that pretends that he's a "Cobra guy" He doesn't lie, as much as "Not tell the truth" . If you send me a PM, I'll give his Phone#, just don't tell it was me, as I no longer take his calls, or want anything to do with him. TommyRot. |
If you dont want to contact him I’m out too . I have been tracking them from the time they left Fargo. Thanks for positive reply. I’m way deep into CR history.
|
It seems there's a great deal of history and support for CR Cobras. It would be great if someone with morals and ethics who actually knows how to run a business could get their hand on the molds, jigs, fixtures, etc and resurrect the brand (CR III?).

A guy with a body shop could do a sideline with tops, hoods and maybe body’s but you better have a real job. It will be interesting to see where this goes. I don’t want to modify my 5.0 intake height and am looking for an EFI hood
|
The difference as I understand it was which EFI intake you used
I ended up modifying y scoop considerably sine I went with a Kenney Bell supercharger http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/pict...=18908&thumb=1 Not an original look- but I had the supercharger and it adds over 100 HP to a stock motor! I cut out the original scoop and widened it as well as adding over an inch of height Thom |
I have a great stock 86 5.0 HO and am going different or modified hood. Much less work I’m on a roll to get it titled soon as I can. I’m about to do what you did...
|
I'm going to have no choice but to copy my hood first. i want to modify it a lot for vents. Rear vents from the guys below, and front vents on forward edge of hood. currently I plan so far to use 2018vmusang vents. But i have a long way before that actually needs done.

UPDATE: THE SEBRING MOLDS ARE NOW IN THE USA. NOT THE COBRA. Check out the Austin Healey Sebring forums

Sadly enough I still haven't been able to start working on my 1992 CR .. all parts are as shipped back then.. perhaps I should make molds off of them and jigs for random parts...
