Speedo gear

Hey guys Bulldog here haven't posted for a while. The Speedo gear in the t 5 tyranny keeps wiping out the teeth on the gear . the gear that. Clips to the cable just started have replaced a couple . Has anyone had this problem?

how many teeth on the gear?

Fords have both LH and RH driven gears. Putting the wrong one in will cause it to get wiped out.

Depending what gauges you are running, I found a GPS speedo that matched by Autometer set when I frankensteined my transmission together. Eliminated need for speedo gear and if I ever change rear gear ratios then I don't have to worry about changing the speedo gear. Food for thought.
