what column...?

Sorry to start a new thread on this topic again, but after going through the old ones, most of the links were dead, and while posts mentioned using ididit and flaming river, or a chevette column, no one said exactly what length column they used. I'm building a CRII, I have a Chevette column, but don't want to use it. I'd prefer to use an ididit, flaming river, or something like that, but don't know what length to use. 28", 30", 32"?

I used a stock Chevette tilt column. The tilts were tough to find when I built my car 20 years ago. Probably much more difficult now.

Anyway, I would install the column you have. See how it fits in your car with your engine, seats, etc. Then decide if you want a longer or shorter column from there.

That’s the column I used. Worked well and the length is right on for mine.

I like your idea of not spending money only to find out I need to spend money again....
