Front sway bar question?

I was wondering what you guys are using for a front sway bar.
I was told by someone (don't remeber who) to use a sway bar from a mustang II or pinto. Or would I be better off just buying the one that Classic sells? My motor is a 351w with iron heads, if it matters.

Thanks

Brandon, The sway bar is a custom made piece from Classic. You won't find anything else that will work. If this is just a street car I wouldn't bother with a sway bar. The car will drive great without it. The swaybar Classic makes is overkill unless you are running on the track.

I would use a front and rear sway bar on any sports car

That they can be fitted to. My West Coast will have front and rear sway bars. Not sure if it's possible with IRS, maybe others can say ?

Sway bars are sized relative to all the factors on the car, such as front/rear weight bias, (engine size is a major varaible) and over all car weight.

I would never be without at least a front sway bar on a cobra, and for me a rear is a nice handling improvement, well worth it for my Ford 9 inch axle setup

Different strokes. Used both front and rear CR swaybars, and car corners very well with aluminum headed 351W. Have never driven the car without the swaybars in, so can't say for a fact that the cornering is improved. Have driven other cars w/o swaybar, and promptly put it back in. The CR is a pretty healthy sized swaybar though. Car will stay flat in turns.
