HC and CO ranges for fine tuning.
What are the HC (hydrocarbons) and CO (carbon monoxide) ranges for reasonably tuned mid '70's engines on the sniffer?
Have motor reasonably well dialed in now. Plugs are tan to grey, have carb primaries at #64 (out of the box was #69), have secondaries cracked for extra air for leaner idle. Street hydraulic roller cams pull a lot more vacuum. Rascal gets 17 MPH on the highway, so I can't complain. But it still stinks, and burns my eyes idling in the garage, so have to lean it out some more. Getting an exhaust gas analizer, and looking for dial in ranges. |
you gotta open the garage door!!!!!
sorry just hadda now back to our regular programing.... |
Wiseguy!
Door is open. Still stinks. Now gimmie some numbers, will ya. |
Are you sure your power valve is not blown? This will contribute to an extremly rich idle.
