Chevette Column Question?

What is the spline count of the chevette column? Thw column I have I bought fron DV. The U joints that came from classic fit extremely tight. I was thinking of going with some aluminum joints and a new d shaft from flaming river.

Take the joints and shaft you got from CR and pitch them in the dumpster.

I used Borgeson joints, shaft, and vibration damper. Works perfectly, no slop. No regrets. Flaming River should be comparible.

The shaft on the column appears to be 3/4 - 36 spline, and the the rack is 9/16 - 26. I have the Flaming River mustang II manual rack. The parts that Iended up ordering where:

FR1850 18" unplated double D shaft
FR1709DD 9/16 - 26 / 3/4 - DD
FR1715DD 3/4 - 36 / 3/4 - DD
