Starter motor
 
Don,
I charged battery,starter clicks but won't engage??Would
the splash guard I put on engine block ,which is only about 1/16 in.thick be causing the problem? I'm afraid to try to start it as I don't want to screw up the flywheel.

Art, Sounds like maybe a dead battery or the solenoid is hooked up wrong. If you here the click the starter should engage if properly wired with a fully charged battery. If it's the wrong starter you will here it zing if it doesn't engage the flywheel. Give me a call if it doesn't work.
