VDO oil temp guage
My VDO oil temperture guage goes to zero when the key is off however when the key is on, either with the engine running or not, the temp reads at the maxium. I suspect it is the sender; however the sender is only months old. Any other thoughts.

CHECK THE WIRE FROM THE SENDER TO THE GAGE. ON VDO GAGES IF THAT WIRE BREAKS OR COMES LOOSE THE INSTRUMENT WILL INDICATE "MAX" WITH THE KEY "ON". IT SHOULD ALWAYS GO TO ZERO OR MINIMUM WITH THE KEY OFF. SOUNDS LIKE A FIVE MINUTE PROJECT TO ME. GOOD LUCK. Y'ALL HAVE A REALLY GREAT DAY. BLACKJACK |
