Classics by Elite
DV and Jay, I am very happy with your knowledge and help on updating my ride - I guess the rest is only $ :). Anyway, I ordered your steering column, FR rack and shaft/joints today and can't wait to get them. I'll be talking with you again on the sidepipe rebuild as the CR stock items are rattlers, Jay said the new jig is working out well. After that it's on to disc brake conversion for the 8.8" rear and larger discs up front, and 17" wheels/tires. What is your address in Ohio? Do you have your own website as well? Thanks again, we'll be talking a lot. Anybody else out there that has a Classic Roadster kit and need something - call these guys they know what they're talking about .

You found the right guys!
DV and, to a lesser extent, Jay are well known around here. He has helped hundreds of people. You are bringing you car here for DVSFIII are you not?
I do not have Ed's address off the top of my head but his email is v10cobra@aol.com. His phone number is on his new site, www.dvsf.com. Rick |
Rick,
I can't make the DVSF, I already have a fishing trip to Canada booked starting on that weekend. I have had my car for about 5 years now, it was built by a guy in Michigan, finished in 92'. DV I'll look up his name tonight and send it to you in case you know him (he needed a new septic system, I'm sure he thinks of the car every time he sits on the throne). I am starting to redo a lot of the things on the car that I didn't like, knowing me that will entail a body-off thrashing. I see you also have a 351c, how do you like it? Jim |
Fishing!!
Fishing over DVSFIII? Well, I guess we each must have our priorities.
I love the Cleveland ever since I had one in a 1970 Mustang. Very durable engine, great power, love to rev. Mild engine that will run on anything you put in it but still pulls very hard. You sound like me with your car. Mine is 14 or so years old and I can't leave anything alone. Rick |
Does anybody know how to search members by state on this site? I would like to get a list of members near me so we can meet and get to know each other.

Cheesesnake,
Get in touch with the Northwoods Shelby Club. They sponsored an event at Mid America Motorplex this past weekend I participated in. www.nwshelbyclub.com. Lew Payne was there and he's from Milwaukee. They also sponsor Road America at Elkhart Lake. Keith |
Hey cheese!
There are several Wisconsinites that visit here...though not 24-7 like Ernie!
There's a bunch of guys right here in the Milwaukee area that go to the Weds Night Cruise at Pistol Pete's in Brookfield. Stop by! Tom |
