Need help.....length of spacers for bumpers

I would like to know the length for both front and rear bumper mount spacers - distance from frame mounting point to where bumper/quickjacks attach.

I do not have anything for this right now, and I am thinking of fabricating something pretty heavy duty, maybe solid steel bars.

Thanks!!!

jdean,

When I received my kit from the B&B and I installed my quick jack brackets they stuck out about 4". Everytime I washed the car or went around it I would just about knock my knees off. They made me say bad words! So. I cut mine off so mine extend only 1 1/2" from the body. They may not be correct but the sure work a lot better. I think you can see the length in my photo gallery.

Nothing heavy duty needed. The factory mounts were aluminum barstock drilled for the 1/2-13 through rods. McMaster-Carr (mcmaster.com) carries.

I put bumperettes on mine an need extra clearance in front, cut sections in back. Did some bracketry to fit OEM AC pieces from England (cobraspares.com). And Home Depot plumbing dept for grommets. Have shots if interested.

Can go under car for some measurements. How fancy or plain are you planning?

Jack, I will probably go with steel

and get chrome plated. I have not totally made up my mind, but am leaning toward quickjacks chrome plated also.

I really think both quickjacks and bumperettes look good, although each makes a bit difference on the look of the car.
