Shifter Upgrade???
Hey Don & Ed....Anybody....
About a year ago I ordered a B&M shifter from Summit and when I got it I found it had a fixed tall stick!!! I have to use a shortened Ford stick and sent it back!! Must have been for a Mustang or something?? Anyway....I have a T5-Z and am looking for a good shifter that will accept a Ford stick and not requirea lot of surgery to the transmission tunnel?? Also, Where can I get a larger bezel ring and boot for this type installation?? Thanks, Jack:MECOOL: |

Used the Hurst. Came with its' own short stick that is perfectly matched to the car, the Z, and your hand. It does have positive stop bolts, and you may have to do some minor surgery to the trans tunnel for it to fit. Had to make a 3/4" stand for the shifter and boot to fit. May have sone interior shots if interested.

Jack21...
Please send me some pix of the mods you made....I will take the trans out one more time to change the shifter but want to have everything ready to go back ASAP!! Thanks, Jack |
Just got back in, The PRO is perfect as well as the one Jack is talking about. A larger boot and ring can be had from Finishline.
DV..shouldn't have to pull the tranny to change the shifter. |
