Horn wire for grant wheel

Don,
How do I hook the wire from Ididit column to the Grant steering wheel. The horn kit has a wire but no way to hold it in place in the Ididit column???

Art, there is a small ferrule that goes over the wire, it has 2 small pins that lock it into the plastic barrel for the horn. You can get one from any GM column or from the dealer.

Like Don said, the wire (which should have been part of the horn button kit) goes from the bottom of the horn button, to a plastic ferrule on the center of the column with a small ball point pen size spring under it. If it's missing, a call to Ididit should get you a replacement.

I don't want to sound like a smarta$$, but why are you using a Grant steering wheel on a Cobra? Did you look at or consider the LeCarras? If you looked at a LeCarra and Grant side by side, I think you would be (substantially) happier with the LeCarra. Not only will it look and feel better, but little touches like this will say a lot about the TLC you put into your build. LeCarras are about $50 - $60 more than the Grants. Column adapters are about the same $.

Jack,
Grant wheel came with the kit. I want a wood wheel and my birthday is coming up and I let my wife know where to find them!
For now I just want to get car "fully" assembled, then we'll work on upgrades. As they say these cars are really never finished.
