Paint for firewall??

What kind of paint should be used on the firewall? Should it be high temp? Anything resistant to brake fluid? What are you guys using?
Thanks for your help.

Charlie,

We use urethane paints in the engine area. Single stage with a Super-hardener. Seems to hold up well. Never had any peel off as yet.

I used bumper chrome paint to make it look like aluminum. So far so good!

Starwolf,
Any basecoat/clearcoat will do just fine. We usually paint them the color of the car, but color is of course your choice.

Imron will work well too, but not necessary.

The heat will not damage the paint, even where the headers come close.

Thanks guys, Took this week off from work to play with the cobra. It's coming along nicely! Often I find the answers to my build questions before I even ask them. Right here on CC. What a great site!
