Classics Stage Build

Anyone have any input on going with the stage build on a Classic Roadster? I am looking to go this direction for the big reason of keeping my costs spread out. I am close to the factory or at least with in driving distance and I can pick up the Stages with out the shipping to worry about. Has anyone out there done one this way and what did you think about it? Thanks in advance for the input. It is much appreciated.

I did my Streetbeasts build this way (still a work in progress) and have liked being able to spread out the spending. I, unfortunately, drug my feet a little too much and did not get the rolling chasis completely done before I had to pick up the body. The body now sits in its crate egging me on..........

Yeah that was my same thought on that part. Was the fact that I might be off a bit on my timing when it came to each step. My thought is between work and everything else I should be able to move about as fast as a turtle. Good to know that it has been working out good for you so far!!

I just bought the phase 1 kit from CR. I am so glad I did. Don is a really nice guy and tremendously helpful to newbies like me. I highly recommend them.

ahawkins,

The stage approach worked well for me. Not only the financial aspect but also the logistics of storing all the pieces until I needed them.

My build took longer than it should have because of work, kids, etc. but I couldn't be happier with the final outcome.

I can't imagine anyone in this industry being more helpful, supportive and accessible than Don Scott and his crew.

I'm in the Minneapolis area so if you ever want to come buy and eyeball a finished product, don't hesitate to contact me.

Good luck!
