4-sale new soft top
SOLD
Thanks DV Hi guys i have up for sale a complete soft top for a CRII its a black top with black bows and install kit the top is brand new never installed im taking offers you cant get this top anywhere else thanks Bob |
Bob,
OK, is it an older (but new) top, or one of the latest versions? The early tops had an aluminum header - hinged in the middle that went over the windshield-the newer ones have a black extruded (no hinge) "u" that fits over the windshield frame. I'll take it, either one- how much do you want? I do not plan on getting into a price war with anyone. Although your statement about being the only place to buy a top is only going to last for a short time-new tops will become available but I can not give a time yet. DV Been trying to edit this all afternoon but the site was down. I don't think what I said came out right...if anyone wants to make an offer by all means do so. I just didn't plan on getting into an auction. If I don't want to pay what Bob wants then by all means grab it! |
Hi DV
Joseph here did you ever find those screws that fit on the windshied to attach the header bow? need a few...and also do you have any pics of where the bows go intalled on the body? Joseph |
Joseph,
Here's a link to the screws for the old style top. The bows fit right into the holes on the body-right behind the door. The two holes in the door are for the windows. I'll try to get a pictures tomorrow. http://t-nuts.com/product_info.php?c...roducts_id=179 DV |
Thanks DV
The pics will help I have no holes pre drilled so I could use some pics. Thanks again Joseph |
Hey DV....
long time no talk.... new on this post give me a message....bob smith....from columbus |
Joseph,
A picture will only help minimally! Since you havce no holes in the body it is going to be a little more difficult. Although the rear holes are pretty perpindicular with the rear body clips, the door frames (for the windows) are drilled at an "inboard" angle. Now that I know what you need, and since I do not have the jigs anymore for proper drilling I'll measure them out for you. Post it some time tonight. DV |
DV
You're the best ....I'll wait for your post. P.S Spoke to my bro the other day he said he was in Nam 1967 for the big feast....I think its called TET .....he told me they got hammered big time that day and night....you guy's are a brave group of people, god bless. |
Guys
I too have a old style top for sale. It needs a cleaning, but it is in great shape if someone whats to make an offer. It needs a new hinge pin. PM me if anyone is interested. macobra |
I forgot, I got the windows as well. :JEKYLHYDE
They need install hardware. macobra |
maccobra,
An old pin from a rivet works great for a hinge pin on the header. Aluminum too so there wont be any electrolysis. Just another 2 cent comment! DV |
Hi DV
Glad to see you're on line any info for me yet:3DSMILE: Joseph |
Are these tops for Classic Roaster only or will they work on other bodies
|
The top that we are talking about will fit only Classic roadsters and emerson cobras.
