Bob,
OK, is it an older (but new) top, or one of the latest versions?
The early tops had an aluminum header - hinged in the middle that went over the windshield-the newer ones have a black extruded (no hinge) "u" that fits over the windshield frame.

I'll take it, either one- how much do you want? I do not plan on getting into a price war with anyone. Although your statement about being the only place to buy a top is only going to last for a short time-new tops will become available but I can not give a time yet.
DV

Been trying to edit this all afternoon but the site was down. I don't think what I said came out right...if anyone wants to make an offer by all means do so. I just didn't plan on getting into an auction. If I don't want to pay what Bob wants then by all means grab it!

Hi DV

Joseph here did you ever find those screws that fit on the windshied to attach the header bow? need a few...and also do you have any pics of where the bows go intalled on the body?

Joseph

Joseph,
Here's a link to the screws for the old style top. The bows fit right into the holes on the body-right behind the door. The two holes in the door are for the windows. I'll try to get a pictures tomorrow.

Hey DV....
long time no talk.... new on this post
give me a message....bob smith....from columbus

Double Venom 04-18-2008 03:33 AM

Joseph,
A picture will only help minimally! Since you havce no holes in the body it is going to be a little more difficult. Although the rear holes are pretty perpindicular with the rear body clips, the door frames (for the windows) are drilled at an "inboard" angle. Now that I know what you need, and since I do not have the jigs anymore for proper drilling I'll measure them out for you. Post it some time tonight.

maccobra,
An old pin from a rivet works great for a hinge pin on the header. Aluminum too so there wont be any electrolysis.
Just another 2 cent comment!
