oil cooler instalation
**)hey.
can anyone send me some photos of their oil cooler set up on the car- where you run the oil lines and remote filter and where you mounted it all on the frame. Just under the rack N pinion makes the most sence but I also want to put a thermostat. especially since I live on the east coast where the winters are known to be very cold.
So my other question is-the oil cooler would hurt the engine performance if it keeps the oil too cool right, so a thermostat is the way to go?

Yes, install a thermostat. Just get one that bypasses a little so that the oil in the cooler gets circulated and you can avoid 'air pockets' when the tstat opens. MOCALS are like this, as I am sure others are. Of course if your car is street driven you could always just dummy the oil cooler and lines and run a standard filter....
