Thought I lost the radiator...
BAD NEWS...
I was in the garage today looking for something in my tool box and saw a rather large puddle (about 2'x3')of anti freeze on the garage floor directly under the radiator of the Cobra. Now it was a hot weekend and I did drive the car but it wasn't running hot or anything. Well I was very distressed and a little peeved most of the morning thinking I needed some costly repairs, not to mention a mess to clean up. GOOD NEWS... I start laying out the paper towels after lunch and followed the trail from the rather large puddle to a 1 gal. jug of anti freeze sitting about 6' away on the floor. Much to my delighted surprize it was leaking, apparently I carelessly slide a sheet of plywood into it causing a small hole sometime last week. Almost one full jug leaked and formed about a 6" wide trail that wound around like the snake river and pooled perfectly under the radiator. What a mess though. Radiator is fine... John |
You were lucky indeed. I dont know that any other brand is any better, but changing the radiator in a CR is a royal PITA. I just recently had to do it, had to take off the water pump to make room enough for it to slide back and out.

Thats got to be a relief!!!!
