I need some CR door handles
Any ideas on where to find some?

Custom Cars Classic Hotrods Streetrods-Watsons StreetWorks The stock CR handles are bicycle shift levers (The ones that came on my car were Shimano(spelling) that were modified). I will take a picture of mine later and post them. I am not sure if I am going to use the stock ones or the custom ones yet. I am still figuring seat position and if I will be able to reach the custom ones. Terry |
Thanks for the link Terry. Mine open via electric solenoids activated by a button. I want to get rid of this because if I forget to turn the solenoids off, it will drain the battery. I thought I remember reading somewhere that CR II got rid of those crappy Shimano levers for something much better designed.

The Shimano bycycle cables work great. Actualy aircraft stainless steel cables. the Latch ones are hard to open behind the seats unless you're goood at extreme dexterity tests! :) You can take the Shimanos apart, pull the "clicker" out, remove the shimano decal, place them right in front of the seat and they stay pretty much hidden. They will work in combination with the solenoids too. If your solenoids are hot all the time they are wired wrong. there should be NO juice to them unless you actually hit the button to activate them. DV |

Any bycycle shop will have the handles and cables. You will need full size cables not the short ones-maybe 4' long. Couple of weeks (sorry) I should be putting Cpt Eddies together, I can take pictures if you want? They do not have to be Shimanos but those are good cables- never have broken even one! DV |

Those are PRICEY! Looks like them but the handles will normally have a thin bracket on them to attach to the tubing of the bike. Then you will need the cable and the sheath that goes around the cable. Geez, I think WALMART OR THE LIKES carry them right on the shelf! DV |

YA! Finally got it without errors. Tommy Beroths design. Nice handles if you want to install that type. I'm just top old and FRAGILE to have to have to swing around in the seat to open them up! :)
