Boxed rear lower control arm

I have read several explanations on boxing in the rear lower control arms but was wondering if anyone has photo's or a diagram. Also, I am concerned about the fact that the sway bar slids up inside the control arm. Should I weld a plate to the bottom like I see on some of the after market control arms to bolt the sway bar to.

dvcobra, (now that seems strange!)

Assuming you are getting it welded or your doing your own, you only use short pieces but the same witdh. Weld nuts to the inside of the control arms matching the nuts you use for the sway bar. I suggest "FLANGE" nuts, just make sure they line up with the pre-drilled holes. Box in the top and bottoms, sides aren't necessary. When done you will have a set of $300 control arms that can take anything you and your Cobra can dish out.
The bar fits on the outside of the control arms by the way.

Ed, when welding on the control arms will I need to replace the bushings?

Fella not if you use a mig or a tig. Just go a little slow. If you weren't so far away I'd offer to weld em up for you. Heck, I'll still make the offer if you want to pay the shipping.

Thank you for the offer. I have enlisted the help of my neighbor that welds for a living. Thanks again for all your help.
