rear lights (red on top) or (amber on top)
Is it correct to have the rear tail/stop lights with red on top or amber on top?????
Or does it not matter? I've seen it done both ways. |
Not sure which is "correct" but mine has the amber on top.
Edit: In my case anyway this is the Classic Roadster set up. I checked when I got home and my initial post was incorrect. So much for memories! |

I think this car is untouched thus correct........:p Looks to have red top and bottom with the bottom being flat faced and the top being pointed a bit? http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...2006_2_-38.jpg and profile: http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...9pipesgoof.jpg Or the MKIV http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...dium/pic_1.jpg |

"absolutely correct" is for the bottom one not to be a light, but a reflector. |

The reflector is a Lucas RER 31 and is dead nuts correct for a street car or anything I believe CSX 3200 and up.

Nice guy's! :p:

European and british laws required amber turn signals and red stoplights, so COB and COX cars had the amber lights. US version CSX 427 Cobras only needed one red light for both turn signal and stoplight. The bottom one on CSX 3288 (pictured above) is indeed a reflector, as described.
