Default Summer in Austria / Europe will be longer and hotter in the future

Hi!

Im interested in Cobras since a very long time. 2 years ago i was at vacation in the states and looking for an additional old Corvette. What can i say...beside the Corvette there was a Superformance Cobra. After a ride in this Cobra the Corvette was forgotten. Hell this thing was fast and i was surprised about the quality...a totally different from the Cobras i was driven in my area. After this i was driving with some other Cobras and i was sure a Superformance with a big engine would be the right choice for me. Kirkham was out of my budget.

Beginning of this January i have found exactly what i was searching for on the Internet:
Superformance SP2234, Diamond Edition (dark grey with light grey stripe) with a Roush 427R at Olthoff Racing in Nort Carolina.
3 weeks later i was at Dennis Olthoffs shop and the car was exactly like he described: It is like a new car!

The testdrive was a thrill....a great road in front of Dennis shop and the car runs great. And i was surprised..as long as you are upper 1200 rpm the 427R is a very streetable engine with lots of torque..
The Olthoff crew was installing a Holley 870 and a dualplane intake when bulding this car.
Seems they know what to do: 452HP and 460 FT-lbs at the rearwheels on a Mustang Dynameter is not bad! (pics in my gallery)
Was a pleasure for me to meet Dennis and his great crew. Really very nice people with tons of knowledge.

Now the car is on the way to Europe and can not wait till it is here. Then the hazzle with the registry will beginns!

Thanks a lot for the help and advices here in the forum. Great to know there is a big knowledge about this cars available.

Peter

Sweet! I'v visited Austria a couple of times. While there, I couldn't help but imagine what a cruise in an open roadster (or a motorcycle) would be like. I'm envious.

Congratulations Peter!

Sounds like you've purchased a beautiful car, there. Be sure to post lots of pictures of it up in the Alps and so on, as you've got some spectacular scenery out your way.

I bought a resale Superformance last summer and absolutely love it. I hope you're a very sociable guy, 'cuz you can't go anywhere without meeting and talking to people who are interested in your car. Red lights. Gas stations. Parking lots. Everywhere.

Enjoy it!
