Finally!

Hello everyone! I finally took the plunge and ordered my Cobra from A&C Autos. I am taking advantage of their Quick Start program. After speaking to Sonny, I hope to receive the rolling chassis by the end of the month. It just happens to be right around my birthday, Happy Birthday to Me! I have been looking forward to this for a very long time...can't wait to get started. I'm looking forward to sharing this project with everyone here. Going to be alot of fun!....Joe

Congratulations Joe! I said "Finally!" about 11 years ago now, when I got my Cobra, and I remember the feeling like it was yesterday. Not everyone is cut out for Cobra ownership, but if you are, a bit of that initial excitement lasts a long time and you feel it every time you go into the garage whether its to work on the Cobra or to just get in and drive it.

There's another thread going on now in which its being stated (correctly) that a Cobra replica should not be regarded as a "good investment". This is true - but only if you confine your thinking to the monetary aspect. If you consider the sheer pleasure of ownership and place value in the experience and friendships you will enjoy, it could well be one of the better investments you'll ever make.

Welcome aboard, keep us posted on your progress and above all, enjoy!

Going to go big block. 460. Haven't decided on trans yet. As far as color goes, not sure, but I will probably go with the gel coat body. Leaning towards blue though. Getting the body and interior will probably be into next year as funds allow.
