Greetings All From Maine
I was lucky to find, and rescue, an unfinished Cobra replica from a garage with way too may projects in limbo. It's a 2002 Shamrock Autocraft car from S.Africa. A 'factory' assembled kit with Jag. suspension, leather interior, rag top, and paint, you add drive train, wheels & tires, exhaust, and roll bar. It came with a Jersey built 351W/427 w/ 525hp motor, still on a pallet, a Tremec 5sp, headers, unfinished side pipes, and a SS roll bar. The car looked much better after a bath, even though it was covered. I'm researching to get wheels/tires, bell housing, clutch/p.plate, hydraulic throw out bearing, drive shaft, and other stuff. I look forward to any info or warnings you have on Shamrock Cobras. I live in Naples, so if any members in southern ME or NH like to show their stuff, let me know. Can you stud T/A Radials??:3DSMILE:

RideUS60,
Best of luck with your build. There are a few Cobra owners in Maine, more in New Hampshire and more again in Massachusetts. The largest gathering of Cobra owners is at the Factory Five open house held in June (in and aroung Father's Day weekend). FFR is in Wareham, MA. On good weather weekend generally there are 150 - 200 FFR Cobras. Try Maine Coastal Cruizers for summer car shows. Also Beltley's Saloon in Arundel, Maine holds a cruise night every Tuesday evenuing in the summer. The last show of 2011 was attended by 150+ card, of which there were three Cobras. Good luck and post some photos. Thanks Tom |
Welcome aboard, neat to have another unusual breed in the area. A Butler popped up two weeks ago at a brunch we had. We have a pretty active crew in NH, we'll meet for breakfast occasionally. Keep an eye on the New England forum for activity. Even in build season er winter I mean. There's also the Green Mountain Cobras in VT. This is a good place to find knowledge, advice and parts.
