New owner

Just bought a Superformance the first part of Nov. We are still getting aquainted so to speak, and this looks like a good place to learn about the cars, and talk to a lot of nice people.
The car is a 2006 chassis, delivered to the first owner in May of 2008. It is galaxie blue with wimbleton white stipes, and #98 on the hood, deck, and doors. It has a Shelby 427 aluminum small block, AFR heads, Edelbrock air gap intake, and single 4 bl. The car is #SPO2598. I was told it is rated between 525 and 550 hp. and it is definitely a handful when you get into the secondaries.
I don't know what the guy did with it for three years, it only had 1026 miles on it when I got it. I put 125mi on it the first day I had it. I have loved Cobras since I was a kid, and seen a couple, but never thought I would actually jump off and get one. It was a foolish, impulsive, extravagent thing to do, and I love it.

Excellent.... Sounds like a good one! I can hardly wait .

Congratulations on your purchase. You will not be disappointed in your choice of a Superformance. SP02598 is the car that was for sale at Lamborghini Houston, right?

Post some pics. I've never seen a Galaxy Blue SPF in person before, but from Internet pics the colour looks closer to the original Guardsman Blue used by Shelby American than the Guardsman Blue offered by SPF. But then again, maybe it's just my computer screen...

You might need the heater this morning. Go out there and take a drive!!!! Traffic will be light

Yes, thats the one

It is the car. I had looked at cars all over the us via internet, and found some really nice ones that individuals had for sale. When I figured up the travel expense, shipping, ect. this one seemed like the easy choice. If I had a blank order form, I think I would have ended up with a nearly identical car.

Welcome !!

Yahoo!!! You've just bought in to the most fun hobby on the planet! My cobra is not only fun for the entire family but it's unending fun doing the improvements and upgrades too! Not to mention enjoying others enjoying your car - thumbs up from other drivers, pedestrians and other hot car owners. Be safe and yes the folks on this forum can be a godsend when there's a tech challenge.
