Hello Im new
Forgive me for saying but I have been lurking this forum now for a while, and every time I feel like I understand cobras, I second guess myself and find myself stumped.
Long story short, I'm young buck about to turn 24 who thinks they would look dashing in a Cobra. I could really use a personal guide on the ins and outs of building a cobra, you know what to look out for. If anyone is in the know and could help me get this project started please help me, this dizzying mess of car parts has my brains all sorts of cluttered. |

Welcome !
You'll love building & driving a Cobra. Many of us can help you along with our opinions, building or buying one. You'll never regret owning & driving one ! Ask many, many questions. I sent you a PM. Kevin |
Welcome to the madness! Find your local Cobra Club and talk to their member about your plans. You can usually see many different brands of Cobras and the differences in the builds.
Bill's points are a place to start. You build the car differently depending on how you plan to use the car. Like Kevin said many folks around here to help with information, but be careful we love spending someone else's money. |

I built my first one at 24 and my latest here at 55. Time flies my friend, so don't squander it. For your first, find a fairly complete and relatively inexpensive kit like an FFR. People make fun of their manual, but it is actually better than many. I think my 3rd kit was an Outlaw Performance '41 Willys coupe that was pretty much a chassis and body with no instructions at all. My point is that unless you have unlimited funds and experience, you want to balance a lower complexity with a more modest price. Anyway welcome and good luck!
