Regards from Germany!!!

Hello,
my name is André from Germany and in the moment i´m 44 years old. I work for BMW in Cologne Germany and i love american Musclecars! A graet compliment to you and your cars...... In the past i owned 3 Corvette, a 68 Coupe SB, a 71 Convertible BB454 and a 61 Corvette C1, and also a 65 Mustang Convertible. Look to the Fotos. My brother loves musclecars too. He likes and owned Cadilac, Pontiac, Corvette und Dodge..... Now i think it´s time for me to own a cobra. A Superformance in black is my wish, with power an muscels and in an excellent condition......! Maybe i come to the united states and search there my dreamcar...!! There are a lot of different cars in Germany, but not so much superformance. I like this special cobra and my cobra must have a strong ford motor and i don´t like injection or buick or rover.....! Not that the cars are bad, but it´s difficult to import this car and get a license und i think it´s to modern! That´s my opinion. If i want drive a modern car, i take an M3 or M5 from BMW! The car must have good brakes and tires, because it´s allowed to drive without limit....:):MECOOL::3DSMILE: If I search a car, where can i write it down here???? Can you send me a link?? Sorry, my english is not so good guys! If i can do something for you or you have a question, you are welcome!!! I hope, we have a lot of fun and petrol talks....! best greetings André |
André
Welcome. How about a Backdraft since we use BMW suspension and brakes? |
Hello André ! Wilkommen in superformance wonderful world ! Very nice cars, you'll love. Very fast, very reliable...
Dont' you know there is a superformance for sale in Germany (in Hambourg) ? Check this out : westside.cars - SPORTWAGEN UND KLASSISCHE FAHRZEUGE The price seems very fair to me, regarding a SPF for sale in Europe, could be a bargain ! And no need to pay a trip to the US to test drive it ! Yes, it's only a small block 302, but for that price, you can order any Big-Block you want to put in it, from any US crate engine supplier. Good luck for your snake quest... |
Hello Andre and welcome to the forum. I was in Germany last March and rented a Porsche 911 and ran the Autobahn around Frankfurt for a day............ What a blast. I also went to the Posrche Museum while I was there. Cashburn is correct a Backdraft is a very nice Cobra.

Welcome to CC!
I left Germany in 2001, a year after I joined this fantastic club/forum... If you can't find or get the answer here, then it doesn't exist. |

I'll throw my hat (cobra) into the fray as well. Being titled as a 1965, it makes getting it into Germany (and registered) much easier. From past experience (I've sold three into Germany), you will need to change the headlights (lights/lenses), turn signals(again, lenses),Can't remember if there was a change to the tailight lenses, but I do know you do not have to worry about side pipe covers (FIA exhaust is under the side of the car). My car has a top, heater, defroster, wipers, built in fire suppression system, even a hidden AM/FM/CD radio and a computer controlled 4.6L 32V DOHC motor that will meet or beat your countries emissions tests. Again, do your research thoroughly before you buy, as there is a lot you have yet to learn. Bill S. |
Bill,
those days are unfortunately over: "Being titled as a 1965, it makes getting it into Germany (and registered) much easier." |

i can see your car in german "car for sale" internet ! Thanks. It´s beautifull, but you know, what i search.:) SPF For information: ...only the 65/66 and more older then 30 years title is essential for getting the historic german title. But there is a lot of risk. If you get no paper, you can sell the car in parts.....! So we have problems with cobra from 65 and a modern motor from Corvette C5 or C6 or modern Motor from Ford with injection. In the moment i check the risk and check my connection. A friend from me imports cycles from the states to germany. maybe he can help me and can help me with transport, shipping, tax, paper and so on. I think sure, he can!!! @86Sebring: wow und Danke!! Komme gerne drauf zurpück. Vielleicht kannst Du mir irgend wann helfen, bevor ich zuschlage! Wenn Du für D was brauchst oder wissen mußt, dann sage es mir! @fordracing65: I send you a message! :) in the moment we have winter and i hope, that the next summer will be a cobra summer for me!! :MECOOL: ps: i looked to a german muscle car dealer with my wife, for looking a corvette. On the way home, the last car we saw was a black cobra. My wife said: this or nothing.......! I´m really proud, that you are welcome me! Thank´s alot. Greets André |
