Hello,
I'm 32 and have started planning my first cobra kit car. It's been on my to do list for the past 16 yrs or so. I've been a member of the high performance mustang community for approximately the same time. I have owned and created several 10 second daily drivers.

I am planning on starting with a factory five base kit and building a windsor stroker and filling out the powertrain parts myself. Feel pretty comfortable with this route as I know all the mustang parts inside and out.

Is the quality of the factory five car good? Is there another company I should consider that is similar in pricing but might have better features or quality?

Thanks,
Ryan

Welcome to the forum.
I love my Factory 5, but you will get all kinds of answers to your question. Hook up with your local Cobra Club. You can probably see many brands and talk to the guys about what you want to do with the car once finished. We all like to show off our cars.
If you are in Central Texas the last weekend in March you can see about 100 Cobras.
