Welcome...I'm in Voorhees-just got my Cobra 1 month ago, ditto on the warm weather wishes. Where in SJ are you?

rockman539 02-14-2012 06:55 PM

Welcome, I also live in SJ, Gloucester county. I completed my Cobra this fall. There are plenty of car shows in SJ but none for Cobras. Just pick an event and encourage other Cobra owners to show up. The Cruising Magazine is a good source for all of the local car show and events. Just something to think about.

Holman Ford has a great show at the end of the season. And Gentillini has great show as well. Maybe we should all meet up at one of them or both?

Welcome to the sickness

Boss cobra Welcome to the party. You have just entered into the outter limits. Nice looking car. Be careful until you get some miles on it. You now own a one of a kind car that is FAST, brutal, unforgiven, and puts a smile on your face that the other half will never understand.;)As far a shows the KIT car show in Carlisle is about the biggest until the shows in Ohio. We have a 30-40 car get together at Washington's crossing the 1st Sat in June. Most drive and go for a cruise and eat dinner after the cruise. The park has plenty of parking. We are right along the river on the PA side. Tri state gang runs it. The big shows are in Ohio with 200-350 cobras for 4 days. Welcome to the club. Rick L.

Boss Cobra, Welcome to CC and the world of Cobras. Listen to Rick Lake he is more experienced than most and his advice is always spot on. The business about your car being differant than anything you have ever driven is exactly that. These cars have a short wheel base and a very high power to weight ratio. Start off easy. Make sure your tires are warm, that you have checked all the nuts/bolts on the car. Be wary of other drivers who will want to see the car better and will get way too close. Watch out for the kids with rice burners that will want to race you. Most of them are really crazy.

Have fun. don't be surprised that every time you stop to fill up or for any other reason a ton of people will want to ask you questions. A trip to Wawa that used to take 5 minutes will now take 1/2 hour.:)

There are lots of car shows around but not to many for Cobras. We are not as well organized as the Cobra owners in Washington see Capitol Area Cobra Club. Good luck to you and try to enjoy your new ride.

Jim S.

I thought so, I sat in your car and started it a couple of years ago, a friend of mine Jim that lives a few blocks from me painted your car a while back. I believe the owner put very little miles on the car.

best of luck with it,enjoy.

Boss cobra 02-16-2012 01:53 PM

it only had 4000 miles on it in 8 years, it looks to be well taken care of, where is your friends shop?
