Newer owner need help with tires!

Hey guys...I need some input...I've got a Unique 289 FIA and am enjoying the car and the steep learning curve as this is my first Cobra...loving the car and hating the tires...it came to me with big fat racing Eagles...great for track days but they hate the CA roads...I find my self using it now for more road than track...has PS Engineering GT 40 bolt ons-7.5 and 9.5 x 15...Eagles are 265-10.5-15 and 265-8-15...can't really budget for new wheels so I think these will have to stay...would like a good all around sticky tire that won't break the bank and won't follow every groove in the road...thanks in advance!

I use Micky Thompson Sportsman Radial S/R. Good, simi sticky, street/track use. Or mabe Micky Thompson Sportsman Radial S/T. Good street tire & long lasting.;) Or spend a fair bit more & go Avon's. Also very good tires.:D

I am running Firestone Indy 500's, 235/60-15 front and 295/50-15 rear. Good all around street tire, good grip, good balance and roundness. Bought from Tirerack. Good luck

Best Tires

I spent over a year debating that question. Recently, I got left in the dust on a twisty mountain road by a new Corvette. So, I pulled the trigger and bought Mickey Thompson's. I can't wait to see that 'Vette again.

You can check my report about the tires here: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...bra-tires.html

I have the MT SR's on my FIA and they are a great all around tire. I don't track it but I do some heavy cornering and they hold plus wear well.

Someone is going to ask so it might as well be me.

I can't use 15" tires because of my brake size but someone might be able to offset your cost if you want to relieve yourself of the tires that you have now.

So the big question, how old, how much tread is left & how much would you want if you were to want to sell your current tires?

Oh yea, post a few pictures. We all like pictures.
