New to forum... Seeking local owners in upstate area of South Carolina
Hello all, I'm new to the forum and have had a long desire to build a Cobra. From the first time a neighbor drove into my cul-de-sac with one rumbling and we all piled into the street to drool over it. In fact, it's extremely high on my bucket list. I'm just beginning my research of kit manufacturers, and engine options. Recently purchased a build book just to start the process in my mind.
Anyway, I live in Anderson, South Carolina (NE upstate corner) and would really like to meet some local owners to the area. It would help me with research and pointers to be aware of, plus, I would really like to look some Cobras over in person. Please reach out to me if you wouldn't mind sharing your experience and meeting somewhere in the upstate. |
There are several of us in the upstate - many around Greenville, at least one in Easley, one toward Woodruff, and one between Fountain Inn and Laurens. A couple of the guys are kind of active on the Factory Five site and use it to initiate get-togethers, usually on Thursday nights. (Check the Regional Clubs Forum) Weather has perhaps been way too wet this summer for enough opportunities.
I'm in Greer near I-85 and would be happy to show you my car and give you a ride plus share some of the things I went through in my journey. (Send me a PM if you want to try to get together.) Anyway, welcome to the madness! |
Thanks ERA, I'll definitely contact you in the next few weeks.

Hi Chet,
There are several people that I have met at Run N Gun over the years from your area. You should find yourself in some very good company shortly. You are not far from the Superformance shop in Charlotte either, which would make a nice Saturday drive. I( hope to see you posting pictures of your new ride here soon. Welcome! Clois Harlan |
Chet - I am a relatively new owner of a Backdraft and live in Greer and would be happy to help you out as much as I'm able. And, yes, I have to agree with ERA - way too much rain this year. It's frustrating!
