Newbie from Florida
2 Attachment(s)
Hello, Newbie checking in from Orange Park, Florida. I have a Streetbeast Cobra that I got from a local guy who was using the car as a father/son project. I finished the wiring, built the driveshaft, installed new wheels, and painted the car. It is ready for the road now, hoping to get it registered this week.

Looks good! Welcome to the funhouse!

just,
Welcome! If you are interested in some local connections, log in to my site at First Coast Cobra Club - Index page Funny you have a street beast - we just returned from Daytona Sunday from hanging the doors and hood on one. It has a 302 with twin turbos  Tom |
Appreciate the info. Twin turbos sound interesting. This car has a built 460 in it. Would love to eventually do a super snake style hood and was thinking twin blowers or turbos. Not that it really needs a power-adder, but it sure would look good.:D

Tom,
You must be talking about Earl's Cobra. He told us he had help hanging doors and other stuff. Hopefully he will be ready to go driving soon. Just, welcome and that is a nice looking Cobra that you have there. Ron :) Quote:

Thanks, Ron. Trying to decide if I want to add stripes. I painted the car myself in a makeshift booth. At the time, I didn't want to push my luck by adding stripes. This is the first real attempt at painting a car. I may keep it like it is for a while. It turned out better than I thought it would.

Welcome to the Maintenance madness . You got to love these cars to deal with the stuff of having one. The best one is the one you know and understand. I'm a Floridian as well. Go to unique Motorcars site and Find their build manual. It has easy least instructions on how to lay out the stripes. It is different than what you may think I would like to get together sometime. I use cobra shine or sometimes rain. I am not a waxer

Appreciate the info. Yeah, Ocala isn't that far from me. I'm looking forward to diving this thing.

Just,
You did a very good job on the painting. If you want to get an idea of how the stripes would look, get some crepe paper of whatever color you are thinking of and cut it to the width you want and then just lay it out on the hood and see what you think. We have did that to several cars around here and it is a cheap and easy way to get an idea if the person likes the stripes and color of them or not. Ron |
