Hello from Eastern PA

Hello all. I've been lurking on and off here for years and have thought about building or buying a nice replica for many many years. I owned a 260 in the early 70's, having seen a beautiful new 289 in 1964 or 65. Sold for $3500. I am going with a turnkey minus Slabside from ERA.

Welcome Gordon! Good choice on the ERA - do you have a timeline yet?

Good talking with you the other day. I got my car out for a run yesterday and everything was fine so I'll be in touch about cruising up your way so you can see my ERA and I can see your collection of toys...

Thanks, Kevin. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your car. I still want to go up to the factory and meet them in person. We're talking about the scheduling.

(ps, here's a link to a few shots of my garage.)

I like the RX-7. I had mine worked on at KD Rotary a couple of times because the Mazda dealers did not seem to have a clue. I had to sell mine when I got divorced...

You have a great garage there and some really nice things in it. I wish I had room for a garage that large.

Ah... I bought my first one new in 96 and found the same thing. Dave Barninger is an old friend with a black cloud that follows him everywhere. My current Rx7 is a naturally aspirated 3 rotor putting 345 hp to the wheels. It never has any problems. No turbo.

Welcome Gordon, I think you will enjoy the crowd around here. I lived in Philly for about a year in the early 70's near Bala Cynwood.

Thanks, Clois. Seems that way to me, as well. Very little of the usual squabbling I see on other car forums.
