Shelby Cobra Registation

I tried to register our new CSX7000 Series today and failed inspection. Seat belts didn't have the proper tag, components below the scrub line, reflectors needed, etc. I am in CT. Does anyone have suggestions? Is there a state nearby that is registration friendly?
Just driving the car on and off of the flatbed gave me a taste - have to get it registered ASAP! It's going to get cold soon.

Glad to see another small block car join the site! There's a New England fourm section that might have some info for you as they're in your region. New England Cobra Enthusiasts - Club Cobra
Good luck!

But really, this is a brand new on MSO CSX7000 car? Have you contacted your dealer or Shelby American? Some of these are manufacturing related (like seat belts). But then, the belts are probably Simpson harnesses, and why would they fail new? I think there is more info needed.

You ordered and paid for a new CSX7000 car without researching how to title and register it in your state? I hope that wasn't a very expensive mistake. Good luck.

Do a search on this site, there was a discussion recently from another person in CT who failed the state inspection in part due to seat belts. While the Simpson Harness may be new, it is not DOT certified. Someone had the suggestion in the earlier thread concerning finding a DOT certified seat belt and installing it for inspection.

I've had my car registered in Oregon & VT. Both were a breeze. I wouldn't even want to attempt to do so in some states. I'm sure you'll get there with a little persistence. Keep at it!
