Newbie from the Philippines (Cobra Build)

Hi everyone!
I'm planning to build a Cobra by next year. I know it's a little early for me to ask, i'm just currently finishing my current restoration project, then the Cobra will be my next build. I just want to ask is it alright to build a Cobra using a chassis or frame that was fabricated by me and my shop, or using a donor car; to be specific a Toyota Crown as it's Chassis? The shell and other parts will be ordered from Companies who make and sell cobra kits (Backdraft, CSX, Kirkham etc.).

The reason why i can't order or buy a manufactured chassis from the companies mention, is because of taxes and the paper works to fill out. Taxes here in the Philippines is a pain , especially dealing with customs. To put it short, the cost i payed for the chassis and shipping will be doubled because of the taxes here. Can anyone help me out? It will be much appreciated for my build next year. Thank you!
