My name is Chuck. I do not own a Cobra but I do have a K code 1964 Fairlane that shares the same engine as the 1963 and 1964 Cobras. I am always looking for Hipo related parts for my Fairlane.

I love reading the Forums and learning about all things Ford.

You should post a couple pics of your car!
Engine included of course!

Welcome Chuck. I see in your profile That you give California as your location. If you don't mind just what city are you in or close to. I live in far Northern Calif.

Welcome Chuck! I started with 289 HiPos myself...always been a "small-block" guy. Have had a number of 289 HiPo Mustangs, plus three 1966 GT-350's. Then my Dad ordered a BOSS 351 Mustang new. A year later it was mine (Mom didn't care a lot for the no AC, radio-delete BOSS, and talked Dad into a new '72 Montego). A year or so after that, the BOSS 351 engine made a new home in my 1968 GT500 convertible, then into my 1972 Pantera (where it got a set of 48 IDA's). I knew one day I had to have a Cobra, so I kept the BOSS 351 when I sold the Pantera, and eventually put it in my ERA 289 FIA. Gotta' love those high-winding small-blocks!

Hi Chuck,
Welcome. Building a FF 299 roadster with a 65 289 HiPo now. Had a 64 Fairlane Sport Coupe back in high school (early 70's) that looked like a Thunderbolt that ended up being stolen and stripped. My father was glad to see that one go away. Can't imagine why.

Afternoon All

Finally got the bucket list car, an ERA Cobra last week. Enjoyed two nice NH weather days and back to the garage!

Went through a few cars over the years and like everyone I wished I had kept them all, but this is one that will not be leaving the garage, except of course to drive!

Anyone know where to get a front license plate bracket or a way to mount without being obtrusive? NH hasn't joined the 21st century yet and gone to one plate. Thanks
