Hello all!

I recently re-watched Ford v Ferrari and the nostalgia was ripe. I found myself poking around the site and thought I'd join and introduce myself and my cobra story.

No, I wasn't alive when Carroll was kicking a$$ and taking names, but I was reminded of when my father and I built a Classic Roadsters cobra in the late 90's.

We started on it when I was in high school and a bunch of years later had it finished by a guy in Evergreen, Co. I was stationed in Germany with the Air Force at the time and Dad was constantly traveling, only working on it a few months out of the year when he was in town.

I never did see the car run, only a few pictures of it finished in front of the shop, and then one last photo right before it went on the block at auction.

It was always one of those things I look back on and both loved spending the time on the kit and also wishing I had been able to see it through with the old man and enjoy it together.

I highly doubt I could find the car in the wild, with not much other than the pictures; but boy would that be something?

Anyway, Dad's long since passed, but I'm at a point where I wouldn't mind finishing what we started and find either a project or a complete car. So I'll poke around and see you folks in the forum. For S&G's I've added a pic of the finished car.

Take care and thank you for keeping the site running and putting your time and effort into helping folks.

I don't recall the gentleman who finished the car. Could've been?

He did all sorts of vehicles, you can see a GT40 he was working on in this pic.
