Newbie from Cape Town

Hi folks,

I am a newbie (on this site) from Cape Town. South Africa. I am building a Shamrock Cobra, with a Chev 350, and Turbo 350 auto box. The car is currently at the spraypainters being painted dark blue, and will get two white stripes.

Cheers,

Peter, welcome to the "Cobra Addiction" site!! Help us to get to know you by posting some more info about your ride! Photos are also an excellent addition to show off your stuff!!
I know driving it will be the most fun you can have with your clothes on!!

Newbie now done!

I forgot that I posted this when I joined and was still building my car. I finished (is it ever finished?) in March 2008 after 3 and a half years of building, and boy, was it worth it!

You can see pictures of my completed car under my name in the members section of the gallery.

Regards,

Morning Peter!

You get more feedback when you post a bit earlier, before the US goes to sleep or 8 hours later :-)

Peter,

That is a very nice car and you will have a lot of fun with it. Sorry that I am so late seeing this thread. Welcome to the group.

Ron :)

Hi Peter!

Take a week off and search this forum for anything you need to know.
It's a vast pool of information.

In addition you could also "re-animate" the Shamrock section (look under manufacturers).

Hi Peter,
Welcome and enjoy your ride. Why did you go the Shamrock route,if they are no longer around in S.A..Isn't getting parts a problem.?Well it seems that your build is finished so it shouldn't be.
Cheers.
Johan Ras.

There was one good thing about Shamrock:
The in-house built parts last forever. The rest can be bought elsewhere :-)
