From SoCal, looking to buy

I've been a fan of cobra's for years and it would be a dream come true to build one myself, but I just don't have the knowledge or the tools. I'm looking to buy and don't have a clue where to start or look for. I'm sure I'll learn a whole lot from you all. :3DSMILE:

First you need to define what you want from the car and what type of price range you are looking for. A good place to start would be the classifieds on this site. There is a very nice Kirkham for sale on ebay right now and advertised here.
You can also check www.cobracountry.com for a whole variety of Cobra's for sale to get an idea of what's available.

There are many manufacturers out there that sell complete cars. This might help you in your search.

I went through a similar scenario... build, or just buy. I'd love to do a build eventually, but didn't relish the thought of kicking both cars out of the garage for 6-12 months (or more)... and I think the knowledge acquired while doing a build would be invaluable.

Economically speaking, it's cheaper to buy a completed car, though you'll probably have to make some compromises in what you want. On the other hand, the car should (or could) be ready to roll, & sorted-out for the most part.

Start hitting all the weekend car shows & get-togethers, to see what's out there. Once you start looking at, and riding in a few, you'll start refining what you want in a cobra. Then, you can start looking. You'll begin to notice the subtle differences in appearance... the look of the rollbar, the stretched wheelbases, the way a fender is rolled, the rake & height of the windshield, finish details, interiors, gauges, yada yada yada.
