Did it.. bought bdr 602 1/4 mile time question

Hello my name is Robert Snibbe but everyone calls me Cawley thats my middle name. In January I bought Backdraft #602 from Suncoast Cobra in Sarasota Fl. I love the car... I have always wanted one even though I am considered a young cobra enthusiast at 33 years old. Some of the options and mods I went with are as follows.....
427sr tw Roush with vic jr. intake and 950cfm Holley 4150 hp double pump
Holley black fuel pump with no mechanical pump
Msd box with 6400 rev limit and adjustable timing knob
3.64 limited slip diff with 80/20% lockup from metrix racing w solid mounts
t 56 six speed trans
vented oversized m3 brakes with powdercoated calipers
oil cooler
polished 17in Knock offs with nitto drags 315/35s on rear
stiffer m3 springs for rear end only
blue with silver stripes and gray int. wood steering wheel
449 rwhp 434 rwtq after intake, carb, and fuel pump mods (chassis dyno)
The car is stupid fast!!! Can not wait to get on the track someday. Just joined dscc. Looking for cobra freaks in Tampa area. Future mods are custom headers with hollowed out side pipes, good for 35hp I hope. I dont care if it is louder. Hope to hear from some guys with setups close to this. What are your guesses on 1/4 mile times....never been down the track.
Great site with tons of info!!!!
Thanks Cawley Snibbe snibbemarine@yahoo.com

As you can tell I have #561 and live in the N. Tampa (Odessa) area... Congrats on the BDR, I'm now on my 3rd and get a thrill everytime I take it out. NOTHING can compare to an over-powered Cobra.....

What part of town are you in?

BDR561 07-11-2008 04:14 PM

Isn't that 11.5 "traction limited".......

native1 07-11-2008 04:21 PM

was really hoping it would run low 11s high tens... limited slip, drag nittos but I understand high 10s are for the guys who are really dialed in. I live in Clearwater do you hang out with other cobra freaks? Third BDR wow! I bet you did it right on the third try.

BDR 561 just read about your engine sounds bad ass... How much hp/tq

Haven't had it on the Dyno with the current set up (I lowered the C/R and bought the cam down a few notches so I could run pump gas)... I can only tell you that it is STRONG!!

Yep, I have tried several diffent setups with the different cars.... I still have too much power (if there is such a thing) for how I use the car... But there's not much out there that can keep up....

I do however like the linear power curve, it does help me keep traction which has been a problem in the past. You hold on and shut up from 3500rpm to 7000........

I put in the timing control knob b/c it would over run every time I would shut it down. Timing was set at 33, when I would try to lean out the idle airs it would run too hot. Now every time I shut it down I retard the timing. The knob is mounted under the steering column. 7 degrees +- When you got good fuel and cool temps... turn it up. I really like it, easy to hook up and only 129$
