Hi Guys, New to Forum...

Hi y'all,

I'm finally on the road to getting my Cobra, and decided to sign up here and introduce meself. I'll be seriously in the market in a few years, but am starting the research, savings (and daydreaming) phase now. I'll be peppering the site with lotsa Q's, and listening intently.

I have a background in airplanes & motorcycles, but this seems to be the happy medium between the extreme cost of flying, and the extreme danger of two-wheelers.

I currently live in Ventura, and was wondering if there was a local club nearby, so's I can oggle & drool over other people's cars and ask lotsa noob questions. Thanks in advance for all the good info...

Welcome to the Asylum!! :LOL::JEKYLHYDE

You'll be right at home. The Cobra is like a motorcycle with 4 wheels that flies. :3DSMILE:

Sounds all too familiar. I am an airplane guy (there are a few here) and started with motorcycles.

It is wise to start your research a good year before buying. There are a lot of very knowledgeable people here. Owners of every type of cobra available will chime in with opinions. Let us know your parameters and we can narrow your choices down to a manageable few.

Enjoy your researching it is part of the enjoyment and excitement of buying your first cobra.

Welcome to the big show. Any question you could ask about a Cobra replica is in here and for the most part it seems to be the best non-partisan source of info. Don't be afraid to re-ask questions, the answers do change as new products arrive and old products get updated.

Good luck.

I was in your position a few years back. Look for the big Cobra get together events. Run & Gun and London, Ohio come to mind but they are a long way from you. Maybe some others will chime in with some event closer to you.

Look in the forums section. There is a So Cal Cobra Club. Thay can let you know what is going on in your area.

I also know of a group that gathers in Camarillo which is pretty close to you. There's a good source of car events and related activities on a website.....

socalcarculture.com. Keep looking around and start going to some of those events. There's always a Cobra or two, or three or four showing up.

Thanks Guys. Another step in the right direction:D

Aw-- get out and meet the folks at their events, take a digital camera a note pad and compare notes.

I think you will find the people to be helpful and tell you of gotchas and gottas.
