Want to say Hi and ask a question
Hi, I'm new to the club and would like to thank everyone for this forum. I just bought an NAF SC Cobra. The front end shakes at every bump so I took it to my mechanic and he says the rack and pinion is shot. Can anyone tell me what type of car this steering came from so my mechanic can find parts for it? I'm hoping its something common like a Mustang 2. Thanks Bunches for any help you might be, Dan Tuel aka ezzmoney.

Welcome Dan
I found this on a quick site search that might help find your answers. "Powerslide" posted this: Quote:

Hi Larry. Thanks so much for your reply. Cobra replicas are a new adventure for me. I'm mostly into the Mopars but like most guys my age (57) Allways admired the Cobras. This economy has made it possible for me to afford one and I am looking forward to many miles cruising in it. I have allways been a firm believer in a chevy motor in a chevy car etc and I now own a Ford with a Chevy motor? Maybe that will change someday but for now I just want to enjoy it. Thanks Again, Dan

Is your rack powered or not powered?
Or, do you have power steering or not? :D :D :D The reason I asked is I have a low milage power rack I am looking to sell. Pm me if you are interested. :D :D |
I don't have power steering on my '02 Unique 427.

Dan,
This may not help you at all, but if you can't find any numbers on the rack to look up, try going and talking to other Cobra owners in your area if there are any. Some of them may be using the same rack that you have and many of the racks can be changed to other types with a little work if you can't find an exact replacement. Wish I could help you more, but no one around here has an NAF cobra for me to ask what type rack they are using. Ron |
