Need Good painter of strips

Just took delivery of a Candy Apple Red metallic Lone Star Cobra. Looks great but I'm considering have strips put on. They must match show room quality of existing finish. Any advice in the MD/DC area.

Know this will not help you, but the best stripes I have ever seen were applied in a 3 foot width of white on the body.

The lot was then taped up and the body coat painted on. The finish was sensational.

Have also seen stripes applied with vinyl which gave a good idea of appearance. Then removed and painted.

Cheers

TalK to Don Scott. He can give you the measurements needed that you can take to any paint shop of your choice. Don is a Club Cobra senior member and owns Classic Roadsters II.

WW,
Yes we normally paint the base color of the stripes on the body prior to painting, but it can be done either way.

Keep in mind, if you want the stripes to be "edgeless" you will have to clear coat the entire car.

Do you paint tapered strips.

I have the specifications for the tapered stripes. No doubt someone will Post the site where you can view a diagram drawn with the measurements and start/stop points.

If not kni-time@bigpond.com

Email response sent today.

Sorry been out of town.

There is a site where you can actually get the measurements for the stripes and the placement of all badges.

Think its a manufacturer.

Perhaps ask the question on the "All Cobra Talk"

Will do so now. Keep an eye out for responses.
