Johnex hood trouble

1 Attachment(s)
I recently bought a Johnex Cobra that was in a fire. It is a flat side. I had to graft a new nose on it. Does anyone have pictures of hood hinges and how they are glassed into the body? Also, did the Johnex have inner fenders? What fastened the nose to the frame? Is it just the quick jack supports? The nose I am using is from a mystery car, but fit well. Could not find any pictures, would appreciate some and any help too! Been lurking the site for a while and seen lots of finished pictures of different kits...but none like mine.

What a sad picture. Shows the importance of a good fire extinguisher. Sorry can't help answer your question.

Nice project you have there.
This is what I make for both our Alloy and fiberglass builds, the hood frame and hinges are along the same design has the original cars.
The fiberglass panel gets bonded to the steel frame, there is a little more involved in the alloy hood.
I am sure you could come up with something close or if you need help pm me.

Ya csc is around the corner he was a big help but didn't know about the body part much. From what I gather there was a k frame glassed into to nose and hood bolted to that. I have one hindge so I can make the other side. Might come off the frame but hood alg is going to be a big problem. Not building a show car but Don't want to b a hack.

If you are around the corner from Ralph, you are probably only a few minutes from me.
I have a 427 s/c, Johnex, not sure if the same hinge setup, but you are more than welcome to come over and have a look if that would help. PM me for address if you like.

Hey guys any chance of getting so more pics of the hood hinge structure. I think it is a glass k frame not sure if it goes all the way down to the nose. Worried about stress cracks if it isn't big enough. Thanks again
