Fantastic 289 Chassis - Very well done!

Mike K has spent countless hours designing and perfecting the 289 chassis using all the known plans along with first hand measurement.
WELL DONE MIKE! :p From Mike; Modeled it all in CAD based on the data I had, then rendered it up with some color. Every item used in it is exact to the brackets, tabs, and profiles that the chassis will be built with. So it is an accurate representation. I have the 427 as well, but I need to add in the rollbar, then re-render. The 427's are already available and out there! Will follow up with the 427 after I redo it in the next couple days. My next frame will be a MK Frame... :cool: |

Nice, other than the reverse radius tubes mounted at the door latch post area the frame can easily be adapted to a street Cobra configuration. There are other things like, the oil cooler mounting brackets, the roll bar mounting brackets and the 427 style radiator cooling fan brackets that can be removed as well. The 427 cooling fan bracket should just be a bolt on application anyway.

Exhaust hanger tabs, trans cooler and maybe driveshaft safety hoop bungs are about the only other items that would differ between the Roadster and FIA.

Hi Monster..
It's an OE style frame, so any quality OE style body should fit nicely. This is designed for an aluminum skin, so there is a slight difference in birdcage fit/fab if going with a glass body as they are a bit thicker. MK. |

Is there a plan to sell chassis, complete cars, digital data, kits? Sorry, but I think I'm out of the loop on all of this. Looks great, though! |
