Newbie: Boot/Bonnet Struts??

Hi everyone, I'm new to the group i have a G Force from WA after many years I have finally decided to paint my car next year, as I have allot of work ahead of me it would be greatly appreciated for any any thoughts, ideas, suppliers, pros and cons for the bonnet and boot struts/stays please.

There are some old posts however if any one has any updated information/pics that would be great thanks!

This is a shot in the dark since I have no idea what the stays are on a G-Force. But if they are gas springs, the website McMaster.com has them in many sizes.

Mine had the straight bar for the front hood.

The rear trunk was the type of track/rail that you pull up and some latches fall out that hold it up. Raise it up again and the latches retract and then the rails guide it down. It does not offer any "resistance", just support.
