Contemporary Cobra for sale - For anal cobra purists only
I have just completed the final touches to my baby and am going to start another project. You get what you pay for and this Cobra does not come cheap. I am asking $60,000.00. The car has over $80,000.00 invested in it not including 1,000hrs of my time.
Past professions include mold maker and machinist and this car is put together right. Nothing Mickey Duck. The car is blue with white strips custom pearl blue with a hint of blue pearl in the white strip. Also 2 red FIA slashes on front drivers fender. Smiths guages that all work, wilton wool, leather seats on original style metal frames with adjusting tracks. Jag front and rear suspension with aldan coilovers and watts linkage. Rear suspension has gusseted lower control arms, with vented inboard rotors. All suspension bushings are delrin no rubber here. Simpson 5 point safety harness for driver and passenger and onboard Halon fire suppression system. Adjustable brake proportioning valve, handle type in drivers compartment. The engine is a 428CJ. It has Edelbrock heads, ported and polished, Weber 48IDA induction, solid roller cam, roller lifters and Shelby signature series stainless roller lifters. It is balanced and blue printed with Eagle forged H Beam rods. MSD billet distributor and MSD 6AL ignition. Cobra aluminum T pan and polished Aluminum 427FE valve covers. All line are stainless braided with aircraft style AN fittings. Centerforce clutch and a Richmond Gear 5 speed. Engine and trunk compartment completely overlaid with polished aluminum and stainless panels. Side pipes are polished stainless steel by Stainless Specialties. Has original style 6 pin Halibrand knock offs. Also comes with a set of original Goodyear sport car specials. Goodyear Eagle II's are on the car with a spare set of BFG Euro T/A's. All wiring in engine compartment is hidden and electricals such as voltage regulator, starter solinoid etc. are in a separate sealed compartment. There is also a pre luber and tach and bump and kill switch in the engine compartment to make setting up valve lash and the Webers a piece of cake. Spare parts include a 2X4 original intake manifold with 2 new Holley 600CFM carburetors plus 2 more used Hollies. A spare Weber intake manifold with vacuum lines installed. The car is registered as a 1965 AC. I could write a book on this car. Over the last 2 years it has been in over 12 car shows against dozens of other Cobra's and has placed first every time, including the Pony Roundup in Bellevue by Seattle. |
WOW!!! Nice! Why in the world are you giving up 1,000 hours of your hard work and $20K on a terrific car that you just finished. If it was me, and I had a car like that, I'd never get out of the drivers seat.

I have had the car for over 3 years and I bought it as a driver. The previous builder did not have the same neurotric need for detail and making things perfect like I do so I ended up totally rebuiding the car to the way I thought it should be. I drove it every summer but over winter I would do a major upgrade to the car. It is now finished and I put over 3,000 miles on it this summer alone. I have the itch to do another as I cannot think of anything else I can do to this one. Call me crazy but I get as much fun building one as driving it. For those who do not have the time or inclination to build one themselves this is the brass ring ;-).

PS I can also arrange financing when this car is registered in the US. You would need $18,000 down to qualify.
