Pat,
Forget the screaming high revving rpms, add a blower and get all the torque you need under 5K rpm on a nearly stock 302.

JimsGems 02-28-2002 11:17 PM

Too Good...

"Passin' Gas", nah, sounds like an Anesthesiologist or a different way of life, I'm so-o-o confused! :D

Now a Kirkham, that's cool and with a 302, now that's twisted.

ERA535 03-01-2002 08:11 AM

Cranky and Dave Samson

I have received a total of 6 emails on the subject, 2 of which threatened bodily harm to me AND my family if I even JOKED about putting a little engine in a Kirkham 427SC....

JimsGems

I am happy to be a little twisted.....that's how I get get through life! But not twisted enough to ruin a perfectly good car!

Turk 03-01-2002 08:18 AM

Good Luck!`

You should have known better than posting your car for sale in here under your name. You must have known that your post was not going to go unmolested, did you?

If you sell your car, and embark on a Kirkham construction, what happens to ME?
That is all I care about. Will your weekends be so full with your own car, that I may actually start getting my own hands dirty?

What am I gonna do?

TURK

ERA535 03-01-2002 12:21 PM

TURK :

Let's see......Barbequed rib eye steak, shrimp, great bread, Crown Royal,.......and I've hardly done any work! You've been doing fine so far!

Keep it up.

Seriously, now that my ERA is done I don't have a project....so helping you is really my pleasure....if you can find enough things for me to do maybe I won't have to buy anything!! Now there is a money saving idea!

If the Kirkham deal works out I promise not to look down my nose at you.... of course you could get one also!!

I know you at one time were considering a Kirkham.... or was that an SAI car? What is up with that?

Slave boy Pat.

Dave Samson 03-01-2002 01:05 PM

Pat,
I did not threathen harm to your or your family but while we are oin the subject, let me remind you that death is not even painful, especially after the fact.

How do you like this math, to import a turnkey Kirkham to Australia would cost a buyer almost $A250,000 which is 10 x the average weekly earnings of an Australian worker. If you compare that with your own situation, you'll shake your head, won't you **)

Turk 03-01-2002 01:12 PM

ERA535
Funny you should ask that!
Originally when I was still living in Denver Colorado, I had decided on a Kirkham. Unfortunately due to miscommunications, it didn't happen. That was my first choice all along.

Later on when I found that SAI was once again was building the Cobra, I changed my mind and decided on a CXS4000. Again due to some unfortunate events, that didn't happen either.

Like I have said it before, in spite of the grief I give Evan Harris, I wouldn' be all that unhappy if my Cobra said Shelby on it somewhere.

Now that I have a car, I am happy with, it would take a little more wine and drugs for me to start the ordeal once again. If I did, it would be because I always wanted a Aluminum Car. My first choice would be a CSX and then a Kirkham. If the price was no objection,

TURK
The Master.

The tranny is not in, looks like you got the weekend off!
Of course there is also the Installation of Satellite dish this weekend!

JimsGems 03-01-2002 09:08 PM

Hey Guy's...

Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule
Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule - Kirkham's Rule

...But I don't have an opinion on that.

Dave Samson 03-01-2002 09:20 PM

Hey Jimbo,
You forgot to take your anti-stutter medication today !

ERA535 03-02-2002 08:49 AM

Wilf!

I am trying to sell my car yet when decent people go to the Photo Gallery to view it, what do they see pictured above it?

A gent who looks a lot like Henry N. Manney holding a c0ck pheasant between his legs!!!!

People are complaining!

Turk

Then they cast their eyes upward and what else do they see? That's right a sweet young thing with lovely pink skin and gorgeous blonde hair being held by some half nekkid woman!

No wonder I still own the thing!

SCOBRAC 03-02-2002 06:30 PM

Is the cigar lighter original or a replica? er,
reinterpretation..

Turk 03-02-2002 07:58 PM

That's what I am talking about. We grow them right, and proper here in Vacaville!!
atta boy Michael!! get'm.

TURK

ERA535 03-02-2002 09:25 PM

Michael - it is a continuation lighter.

Turk - I lowered the price...that oughta prove I'm serious.

:)

Jamo 03-02-2002 09:49 PM

Your "movement" on the price reminds me of some union negotiators I deal with...

Turk 03-02-2002 10:12 PM

Jamo
He is waaay too easy. I would love to have had him on the management side when I was negotiating contracts for the unions and certainly on the organizing end when I was busting their chops.

ERA535
I'll give you $28,000 for your replica. I need the mechanical parts out of it for spares. How about it Pat?

We all have to make a little concession when we have to raise some funds. Have you decided which way you are gonna go yet?

TURK

ERA535 03-02-2002 11:33 PM

Turk

I am having good discussions with Kirkham but there is a new wrinkle - Dave S has initiated communication with SAI regarding a group purchase.

As you know one of my best friends and I did our ERA's at the same time - we have been sharing experiences all along so he is kind of upset about me defecting to something else - so I have some issues to deal with there.......

Regarding your $28,000 offer - how about we compromise....$59,999.98?

:3DSMILE:

Turk 03-03-2002 12:19 AM

Who is Dave S?

TURK:confused:

ERA535 03-03-2002 12:52 AM

Why Dave Semko!
:)

Jamo 03-03-2002 01:01 AM

What's a Semko--some kind of lizerd?

Dave Samson 03-03-2002 02:48 AM

no, some kind of snake:LOL:
